The KGI Edit #3: Your Weekly Dose of My Best Finds

  1. The fact that Home Depot sells home furnishings isn’t new “news.” BUT, expect to see them displaying their goods in store in 2020 (opposed to online only). They are making a big play into the home decor industry this year, and their stuff is really good. Even Architectural Digest said that they have the “potential to become your new home decor go-to.” I got to see some of their pieces first hand in October at the Real Simple Design Home event in a gorgeous brownstone in Brooklyn. I was beyond impressed. Here are some pics of the master bedroom, completely styled in Home Depot decor by the super talented Mandi Gubler of Vintage Revivals.

2.). Furniture layout and arranging can be super tricky and can literally make or break a room. And if you have an exceptionally large or small room, it becomes even more complex. This cheat sheet is a great resource, so save it to your camera roll and refer to it when you’re stuck.

3.) MUST FOLLOW alert - Kate Pearce Vintage (@katepearcevintage). Love, love, love her blog, her style, her love of vintage finds and her “don’t care about design rules” attitude. My kind of girl. :)

4.) This large seagrass and leather basket from McGee & Co. is $30. That’s not a typo. If you’ve heard of them before, you know that they carry high quality, luxe items, and this is literally a steal. Perfect basket for toys, magazines, blankets, whatever. It also comes in two smaller sizes. I picked up one for the design studio and it holds a ton of fabric swatches, while still allowing them to be displayed beautifully.
