The KGI Edit #1: Your Weekly Dose of My Best Finds

I love discovering new products, brands and services, and not just in the design industry. I’m a shopper and pretty darn good at it. I am often asked, “where do you find this stuff?” So, with that in mind I have started a new weekly blog series called “The KGI Edit,” where I share with you all the cool stuff I come across. This could be an awesome sale, a great design tip, a new beauty product, or an inspirational social media account you should follow. And I promise to make it a quick 2-minute read, because I get it…life is BUSY. I have included all sources within the text…enjoy the read, and don’t forget to comment below!

  1. Anthropologie is having a 25% off sale on their already discounted furniture. Crazy deals folks.

2. You can never have enough coffee table books. They are works of art in my opinion. Shelter: How Australians Live, is a stunning compilation of images and stories by super talented photographer, Kara Rosenlund. It’s a beautiful, real and raw look into Australian homes.

3. When I finalize a design job installation, I always leave a really nice candle. To me, it’s the perfect finishing touch. The room is not only styled beautifully, but it smells nice too. Design is about ALL the senses. The PIRETTE soy candle is my go-to. For one, it has the coolest name, and two, it smells like the beach.

4. I’m huge fan of Bobbi Brown, and have followed her for years. I have read her books, wear her makeup (my personal fave is her blush in Slopes), use her skincare - you get the idea. I was fortunate to be a guest at Elvis Duran’s wedding to Alex Carr in Santa Fe this past September, and of course being a good friend of the couple, she was there. I was too chicken to introduce myself, sigh. It was right around that time that I discovered her new venture in the wellness/lifestyle industry. It’s called EVOLUTION_18. Here you can find health and beauty remedies with quality ingredients, and great advice and recipes. I subscribed to the email list, and to be honest, it’s one of the very few newsletters I read in its entirety. Her wellness tips are realistic and achievable. For instance, her last newsletter suggested “damp January” instead of ”dry January” after the holidays; instead of completely eliminating alcohol in January - maybe reserve a glass or two of spirits to the weekend, etc. Now that’s something I can follow. I’ve been using her De-Bloat powder this month, and I no longer look like I’m “with child.” Lol.
