The Moody Master

When it comes to design, often times bedrooms get overlooked.  Which is a shame because in our lifetime we spend (on average) 26 years sleeping. That’s not a typo.

So I was “over the moon” excited to work on this master bedroom project.

Our client’s goal was to give their bedroom a serious refresh, keep some existing furniture, paint the walls a darker color, and create the ultimate sanctuary.

Our first step was to select a wall color, and we landed on Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball.  A little bit blue, a little bit green, sometimes black - it was perfection. What I love about this color is that as the light shifts throughout the day, so does the color and undertones -  due to the rich pigments. This created the perfect mood at the right time.

We layered in unique vintage furniture, art, decor and oodles of texture. The result was a moody oasis that fosters the deepest slumber and quite literally gives you a hug upon crossing the threshold.
