Stay at Home To Do List vol.2

Hello again! Here is vol.2 of my Stay at Home To Do List. Staying busy and feeling productive is an absolute must for me at the moment, and I’m sharing all my random ideas and special projects that are keeping me distracted. I received some great ideas from some of you after last week’s blog post - so I have included those as well! Keep them coming…

1.) Re-style a shelf, table or corner in your home that feels a little “ho-hum” to you. Take a look at the decor you already have in your home, open up cabinets and really look at your collection and the items you most likely forgot about. Switch things out and play around - your eye will tell you when you have the perfect combo. My favorite thing to do is to pull out something, like an old vase that I haven’t used in years, and a place it on a bare shelf or in another vignette in the house, and all of a sudden that vase has new life breathed into it, and looks entirely different than what I remembered. I restyled the fireplace mantle in my bedroom, and I LOVED how it came out.

2.) Pull out your Summer throw pillows and blankets for the living room and bedroom. Store the fur and wool versions for next year! If you’re looking for some new pillows and throws, check these out.

3.) Edit your nail polish collection - toss out old and dried out bottles.

4.) I have a SUPER small closet (the joys of owning an old home), so I have to store my off-season clothes elsewhere. Switching out my winter/summer clothes is definitely on my to do list this week.

5.) Do you get a lot of magazines? If so, go through that pile and toss old ones you’ve already read and no longer need to refer to.

6.) Tackle that junk drawer(s). Every home has at least one, and I’m guessing that 75% of its contents can be tossed or relocated to a more appropriate spot. Put on some music, dig in, and organize. Take it a step further and look around your house for small jars, containers, small boxes, etc. that can fit into the drawer and will help sort and arrange various items.

7.) Do you have an A/C unit? Clean or replace the filter so it’s ready to rock when it gets hot!

8.) Go through your camera roll on your phone and delete unwanted photos (screenshots that you no longer need and doubles of other photos, etc.). It’s insane how many photos you can get rid of. Do your phone a favor and free up some space!

Do you have a “to do” list idea? I want to hear it - comment below!
